Outstanding menu, friendly staff and really lovely old inn. Recommended highly.
We were staying only a couple of miles from this Inn, and had read a recommendation in the Telegraph before our holiday.It is a very old building, dating from the 1500s, when it was occupied by masons building the adjacent church. It has a great atmosphere, and reportedly has a tame ghost!The food was excellent, the staff were very pleasant, and the chocolate mousse was out of this world. The small hamlet is situated at the end of a long, steep, narrow and twisty lane, and the native drivers take no prisoners. You have been warned!!
If your website says you'll be open, surely you should be open! Drove for 40 mins to see it closed. No-one answered the phone though I called 5 times. Assumed it was really busy bit nope it was closed!
Stunning food and the most beautifully looked after pub. Lots of flower baskets (summer). Idyllic. We come here after work a few days a week for a fantastic meal. Lovely people also. Faultless.
