I have been coming every single year for the last 13 years and it never gets boring! There are gorgeous walks and cycle rides. It is placed in the middle of Bodmin Moor. Which I love!

Really nice place, stayed just one night, facilities are nice and clean and eco! It's in a nice quiet spot on Bodmin moor so it's silent. You're allowed open fires and they have everything you need for a fire available at reception. Would definitely stay again, highly recommended.

Myself and my 2 youngest children stayed in Goldielocks yurt for 2 nights. It was such a beautiful place. We camped here last year and grabbed the opportunity for a yurt stay this year. The children loved all the animals on the farm and the wild animals on the moors. We can now tick of life list that we have stayed in a yurt.

We've been coming to South Penquite for many years, for both tent and yurt camping. We started coming as it's one of the only few campsites around where you can have a REAL campfire! It's not strictly what many people would describe as 5 star facilities for camping but it's 5 star for me as it has all we need and more. It's in a lovely setting on Bodmin Moor, which is actually quite central if you're visiting different parts of Cornwall, but also lots to explore within walking distance if you love nature and the outdoors. You don't have much at all to do with the farmers, you come and go as you please like an adult, no wristbands or nonsense. We've been here when our kids were little and they loved the roaming animals (ducks, chickens, cats) and walking the farm border collie dogs, but also as they've grown up they've enjoyed the surroundings. Facilities are basic - showers, toilets, washing up stations (and you can wash/dry clothes for a charge) but good quality and nice and clean. Yurts are good value and good if it rains and you're stuck inside - weather in Cornwall notoriously up and down! Farm burgers and sausages are delicious! Lastly, the other campers are usually families or small groups, I've never heard any rowdiness or had any problems with noise other than sheep and cows waking you up bright and early - but that's the point

Brilliant campsite - really good atmosphere, solar showers are really warm (bordering on hot) and all the facilities are clean. Delicious breakfast baps on offer and the pitches are level with lots of space. They offer campfire tools - rocks scattered around the site, trivets and wood etc. Definitely recommend
