Great location for all. Option for adults and children, dog walking or cycling. The paths are well maintained and there's is multiple options for different walk distances that are well sign posted.
Amazing walk,bike ride and run public place open to anyone it's got a great bike track which leads down to the main one so if you need to get back immediate it wouldn't take very long
Great place for a good walk with or without the dog's, or for a cycle with trails of varying distance and difficulty. With great parking, plenty of signposts to keep you on track, cafe, playground and clean toilet facilities this is definitely a great choice for solo or family walks. The landscape is wonderful no matter the weather, and some of the views are just breath taking. This is a definite must for anyone!
The woods were great. We were staying at a cottage on the road before you get to the sign of Cardinham Woods. One thing to bear in mind if you are walking there like we did... the car drivers are horrendous. They do not slow down and at one point we had a car trying to overtake us on a blind bend with another car oncoming! It really is INSANE considering all of the people going to the same place are going for the love of walking you would expect them to give you space and slow down. Really disappointing. However, the woods themselves were great. We did the longest trail and it was brilliant, nice and quiet and the dogs loved it. It had been heavy rain for two days so the water areas flowing through were just rapids it was fantastic! The cafe is lovely and it's very popular. Would highly recommend if you want to follow trails and paths, we prefer "offroading" normally but this was a nice change!
Lovely walks, ranging from fairly easy to down right tough! Lots of dogs but all really well behaved. Great tea shop and lots of parking.
